Benefits Specialist

About the role

The Benefits Specialist will support internal customers through the Boardwalk Benefits Service Center, handling inquiries and issues related to various employee benefit programs including medical, dental, life, short and long term disability, cancer, vision, FSA, and COBRA.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide internal customer support for employee benefit programs for active, retired, and disabled employees.
• Act as a liaison between employees and benefit providers to resolve benefit-related problems and ensure effective utilization of the plans.
• Develop, implement, and follow administrative procedures to monitor and reduce costs, improve delivery of programs, and ensure compliance.

Requirements

• Excellent computer skills, verbal communication skills, and written communication skills.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and strong confidentiality standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge, And Experience

• 3-5 years experience in employee benefit plans administration.
• Internal customer service experience.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Basic HRIS experience.

• Bachelor's degree.
