About the role

Atlantic Group is hiring a Benefits Specialist in New York, NY for our client, supporting employee benefits administration, vendor management, compliance, and benefits strategy. This role will oversee self-funded health and welfare programs, retirement benefits, and employee experience while partnering with third-party administrators, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient operations and regulatory compliance. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in shaping and enhancing a growing organization's benefits function.

Responsibilities

  • Administer employee health, welfare, retirement, and leave programs while ensuring accurate enrollments, eligibility, and ongoing plan administration.
  • Assist employees with benefit enrollment, life events, claims, and benefit-related questions while providing a high level of customer service.
  • Coordinate with insurance carriers, third-party administrators, payroll, and other benefit vendors to support day-to-day benefit operations.
  • Support compliance with employee benefits and leave regulations, including ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and other applicable federal and state requirements.
  • Maintain benefit records, prepare reports, and support audits, open enrollment, and ongoing process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3–7 years of experience administering employee benefits programs, including self-funded health and welfare plans and 401(k) retirement plans, is required.
  • Experience managing self-funded benefit plan implementations, vendor transitions, or working with third-party administrators, consultants, and payroll providers is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and HRIS or payroll systems is required; experience with ADP is preferred.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, build vendor relationships, and deliver an exceptional employee experience while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Pay

$90,000 – $130,000/year + bonus

Monday to Friday (In-Office)
