About the Opportunity

The Benefits Manager plays a key role in benefits administration for approximately 1,600 employees across the United States and Canada. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Total Rewards, this position ensures effective management and compliance of employee benefits programs, supports organizational goals through strategic benefits partnerships, and serves as a resource to employees and leadership. The role involves oversight of benefits operations and requires collaboration with internal stakeholders and occasional travel for employee engagement activities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, FSAs, HSAs, and wellness initiatives.
  • Collaborate with executives and stakeholders to align benefits strategy with organizational objectives and present relevant data.
  • Lead open enrollment processes and benefit communications for employees.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, billing reconciliation, and performance monitoring.
  • Administer the 401k plan including compliance testing and reporting.
  • Audit HRIS benefits data and resolve discrepancies with payroll and vendors.
  • Manage leaves of absence and ensure regulatory compliance with relevant labor laws.
  • Provide mentoring and support to HR team members on benefits knowledge.
  • Serve as primary contact for complex benefits and compliance inquiries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in benefits administration.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with major HRIS systems, preferably Dayforce.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of US benefits regulations including ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA.
  • CEBS or CBP certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience managing benefits in Canada or multinational environments is a plus.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills.
  • Analytical skills for data analysis and plan evaluation.
  • Excellent organization and multitasking capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Self-directed and proactive work approach.
  • Proven vendor management skills.

Pay Range and Compensation Package

The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
