About the role

We are seeking a State Board Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our outpatient team, supporting growth and expanding therapy needs. In this part-time role, the PTA assists licensed physical therapists in evaluating and treating patients, helping to relieve pain, restore function, and improve performance using various physical modalities such as heat, water, electrical stimulation, massage, and more.

Responsibilities

• Follow therapist directions
• Administer active and passive exercises, gait training, and functional activities
• Apply therapies like whirlpool, ultrasound, and traction
• Educate patients on device use
• Document patient progress and reactions
• Collaborate as part of the care team and maintain supervision under a licensed therapist
• Refrain from evaluations or changing treatment plans

Requirements

• Completion of an approved PTA program
• California state licensure
• Strong communication and patient care skills
