Benefits Analyst
This is a Contract to Hire position based in West Hartford, CT, as part of our Career Foundations Program. The program is designed to provide the technical and practical training needed to develop the Benefits Analyst for a successful, long-term career in the Northeast Series.
About the role
The Benefits Analyst is the primary service contact for an assigned Employee Benefits book of business, responsible for developing strong working relationships with clients, carriers, and team members.
Responsibilities
- Provide key administrative support involving client written and verbal communications, client filing, and client data management.
- Provide data analysis and financial analysis support to the client team.
- Perform benefit benchmarking to help evaluate client benefit programs.
- Prepare renewal and marketing reports, RFPs, presentations, and correspondence.
- Engage other specialized practice areas for projects such as Marketing and Communications and Compliance, as directed.
- Coordinate meeting schedules and prepare meeting minutes.
- Provide key support involving vendor and client correspondence.
- Resolve standard industry issues such as claims resolutions, billing discrepancies, eligibility issues, and web technology.
- Review and edit agreements and documents such as employee booklets and carrier contracts.
- Develop a basic understanding of clients’ business.
- Meet regularly with team members to collect desired tasks and deadlines and provide status updates on current projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related program preferred or equivalent education and/or experience.
- Ability to efficiently organize work and manage time to meet deadlines.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly proficient in the Microsoft product suite.
- Ability to use office equipment such as a computer, keyboard, calculator, photocopier, and facsimile machine.
- Ability to work on a computer for prolonged periods.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.44 per hour. Individual compensation within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
