Bender Technician 2nd Shift
About the role
Bender -- 2nd SHIFT Covington | Kalamazoo, MI | Full-Time | 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday 3:30pm - 2am
What You Will Achieve
- Set up and operate bending machines to produce precision metal components that meet exact specifications.
- Set up and operate bending machinery in accordance with prints and specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings and follow work instructions with proficiency.
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers, tapes, height gauges, and check fixtures.
- Inspect equipment before use to ensure proper setup and alignment; perform basic adjustments and maintenance.
- Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Follow ISO quality procedures and maintain cleanliness using 5S process.
- Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with MIOSHA regulations.
Basic Requirements
- Prior related experience and/or training preferred, with reliable work history.
- Prior knowledge of blueprints and precision technical plans (preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office (or similar).
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk throughout the shift; frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive movements.
- Routinely lift up to 25 lbs.; occasionally 50+ lbs.
- Depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Able to wear all required safety equipment.
- Able to work in a noisy environment; hearing protection provided.
- Able to work in an environment where Lockout/Tagout is a standard safety practice.
What You Can Expect From Us

- Schedule: Full-Time, 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday 3:30pm - 2am; OT as needed.
