About the role

We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Technician to support the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of advanced mechanical and electrical systems within a cleanroom manufacturing environment. Responsibilities

  • Assembly & Testing
    • Build and assemble complex electro-mechanical systems
    • Perform mechanical and electrical testing on completed assemblies
    • Troubleshoot equipment and identify root causes of failures
    • Conduct inspections and verify systems meet quality standards
    • Utilize hand tools, test equipment, and measuring instruments
  • Production Support
    • Follow manufacturing procedures and engineering documentation
    • Support product builds from assembly through final testing
    • Monitor product quality and identify recurring issues
    • Assist with repairs, modifications, and process improvements
    • Maintain accurate production and test records
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives including:
      • 5S
      • Kaizen
      • Process Improvement Projects
    • Support new product introduction and pilot builds
    • Provide feedback to improve manufacturing processes and product quality
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work closely with engineers, technicians, and production teams
    • Share technical knowledge and assist with problem-solving efforts
    • Support daily production goals and departmental objectives

Requirements

  • Technical Experience
    • Mechanical assembly experience
    • Electrical assembly and wiring experience
    • Testing and troubleshooting experience
    • Strong mechanical aptitude
    • Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively
  • Technical Knowledge
    • Ability to read and interpret:
      • Blueprints
      • Engineering drawings
      • Schematics
      • Wiring diagrams
    • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree, Technical Certification, Diploma, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Degrees in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Electronics, Manufacturing, or related fields are a plus
  • Manufacturing, technical, military, internship, or co-op experience will be considered

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cleanroom manufacturing experience
  • Semiconductor industry experience
  • Lean Manufacturing training
  • Experience with:
    • 5S
    • Kaizen
    • Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
  • Prototype build experience
  • Inspection and quality control experience
  • Experience using electrical test equipment

Pay

$24.00/hr + 10% Shift Differential = $26.40/hr
