Responsibilities
- Welcome guests upon arrival and departure in a professional, warm, and service-oriented manner.
- Absorb guests with luggage handling, storage, delivery, and retrieval efficiently and safely.
- Escort guests to guestrooms and familiarize them with resort amenities, room features, hotel services, and local attractions.
- Explain the operation of in-room technology, entertainment systems, and guestroom features as needed.
- Provide transportation assistance, valet services, and guest vehicle handling in accordance with resort standards and safety procedures.
- Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles while maintaining awareness of vehicle condition and security.
- Maintain accurate luggage storage, package tracking, transportation logs, and valet ticket procedures.
- Deliver packages, amenities, flowers, laundry, and guest requests promptly and professionally.
- Assist guests with directions, recommendations, transportation arrangements, activities, and local area information.
- Support Front Office operations by assisting with guest requests, communication, and lobby flow as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards throughout valet, bell, lobby, and guest arrival areas.
- Absorb room changes, special guest requests, group arrivals, and VIP arrivals/departures.
- Utilize proper radio and communication etiquette when communicating with team members.
- Follow all safety, security, transportation, and operational procedures.
- Attend required meetings, trainings, and departmental lineups.
- Maintain regular attendance, punctuality, professional appearance, and grooming standards.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction through professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel, resort, valet, transportation, guest service, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Luxury hospitality experience preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company insurance eligibility requirements.
- Ability to safely operate a variety of guest vehicles, including manual transmission vehicles preferred.
- Strong communication and guest service skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members at all levels.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to professionally handle guest concerns and operational challenges with sound judgment and composure.
- Ability to stand and move throughout the entire shift.
- Must be able to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100 pounds, frequently move up to 50 pounds, and constantly move up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts based on operational demands.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all guest and operational matters.
