About the Role
The Bell & Valet Attendant plays a vital role in delivering exceptional hospitality at The Logan Hotel. Under general supervision, you will provide bell and valet services to guests, ensuring their satisfaction and comfort by promptly and courteously responding to their requests. You will work alongside the Doorman to greet all guest arrivals and departures, assist with luggage, and provide personalized service that reflects the hotel’s refined elegance.
Responsibilities
- Meet and greet all guests arriving via various forms of transportation.
- Assist guests with retrieving luggage from vehicles and escorting them to the lobby for registration.
- Note existing vehicle damage on key tags and explain valet parking procedures and fees.
- Park vehicles securely, marking key tags with location, guest name, license plate number, and vehicle type.
- Drive vehicles safely and efficiently, opening doors to assist guests.
- Provide general directions, local information, and respond to guest questions about hotel services, events, and points of interest.
- Transport luggage to guest rooms, either personally or using a luggage cart.
- Maintain professionalism, courtesy, and enthusiasm at all times, greeting guests within 5 feet in public areas.
- Take initiative to assist guests, answer questions, and resolve concerns proactively.
- Collaborate with teammates to ensure guest satisfaction and support continuous training and personal development.
- Offer improvement ideas and acknowledge the good performance of others.
- Use empowerment to exceed guest expectations and resolve conflicts.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- General knowledge of basic customer service skills and fluency in oral and written English.
- Knowledge of local establishments, businesses, and the surrounding community.
- Ability to drive both automatic and manual vehicles.
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets the hotel’s insurance carrier requirements.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to see objects and people up close and at a distance.
- Must be able to grasp handles, carry bundles, and lift packages.
- Must be able to continually push, lift, and carry up to 65 lbs throughout the shift.
- Physically strenuous role involving prolonged standing, walking, climbing stairs, and intermittent exposure to outdoor elements.
