What You Will Do
- Provide safety, around-the-clock supervision, mediation, crisis management, and social, educational, and recreational support
- Monitor and document client behaviors and activities
- Transport youth in company vehicles
- Communicate any youth-related concerns, behavior changes, emotions, academic progress, and their overall disposition to ensure the treatment plan is adjusted to meet the youth's success
Requirements
- Be empathetic, patient, consistent, compassionate, have an honest work ethic, and treat others with respect
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Have a bachelor’s degree or 12 Semester Units of Early Childhood Education, Adolescent Development, or Psychology
- One year of previous experience employed as a full-time staff at a group home, short-term residential therapeutic program, or substance abuse treatment program
- Pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test
- Pass a search of the child abuse central registry
