About the Role
Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a passionate Behavior Technician II to work with individuals living with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and mental health challenges residing in our Youth Crisis Therapeutic Home (YCTH) located in Culpeper, VA. This is a part-time position with a schedule of Saturday & Sunday, 7:00am – 7:00pm.
Responsibilities
- Equip individuals with tools, coping skills, and support to prevent hospitalization and crisis
- Facilitate daily programs and rehabilitative activities
- Provide therapeutic interventions
- Assist with personal care
- Work closely with participants' primary care providers, community crisis services, and families to ensure comprehensive support
Qualifications
- Experience working with IDD/Behavioral Health (BH) disorders required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Service field of study, or QMHP (trainee), or the ability to register as a Qualified Mental Health Professional Trainee and be approved within 30 days of hire
- Maintain valid state appropriate driver's license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work
