Behavioral Technician
Overview
Behavioral Innovations is hiring Entry-Level Behavioral Technicians / Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) for clinic-based ABA therapy to children with autism. Positions offer paid training, BCBA supervision, and opportunities for career growth.
Immediate Openings
Treatment centers operate 8am-6pm, Monday-Friday, with occasional half-day Saturdays. Full-time positions preferred; part-time roles require open availability within these hours and at least 25 hours/week (may vary by center).
What You'll Do
- Provide 1:1, center-based ABA therapy to children (18 months-10 years)
- Implement treatment plans under BCBA supervision
- Collect and record behavioral data
- Sustain skill development, communication, and social interaction
- Collaborate with training, supervision, and team members
- Maintain a safe, clean therapy environment
Pay & Career Growth
- Entry Level (during training): $16.00/hr
- RBT I (1-3 months certified): $17.25/hr
- RBT II (3-6 months certified): $18.00/hr
- RBT III (6-9 months certified): $19.25/hr
- RBT IV (9-12 months certified): $20.50/hr
- RBT V (12+ months certified): $21.75/hr
- Senior RBT (12+ months at BI, client count dependent): $23.00/hr
Future BCBA Career Path
- ABA Intern → Lead RBT → ABA Apprentice → BCBA → Clinical Leadership
Required
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Reliable transportation to the clinic
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to obtain RBT certification within 60 days (if not certified)
- CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain (provided by BI)
- Complete and successfully pass a background check, including child abuse registry clearance, and drug screening as a condition of employment
Preferred
- Active RBT certification
- Experience with children, autism, or developmental disabilities
- Backgrounds in childcare, education, behavioral health, or related fields
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
- Ability to sit, kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods during sessions
- Ability to move quickly to respond to client safety needs, including occasional running
- Visual and auditory alertness to monitor client behavior and environment
- Ability to physically prompt or redirect clients as part of therapy protocols
