Behavioral Services Therapist LPC - Full Time - Days - Jackson

About the role

Provides evidence-based care in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness and substance use disorders within an interdisciplinary team. Also provides individual, conjoint, group and family psychotherapy; in addition to crisis intervention services, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual, conjoint, group and family psychotherapy
• Provides crisis intervention services, as needed
• Works collaboratively with other members of the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care

Requirements

• Master's (or Doctoral) degree in counseling from a national or regionally-accredited institute of higher education, including an internship and coursework on human behavior and development, effective counseling strategies, ethical practice and pertinent core knowledge areas
• Completion of a minimum of 3000 hours of post-master's degree supervised clinical experience performed within two years
• Licensed Professional Counselor

Qualifications

• Experience in providing evidence-based care in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness and substance use disorders
• Experience working in an interdisciplinary team setting
• Experience with crisis intervention services

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices in mental health and substance use disorders
