About the Role

The Behavioral Services Therapist provides evidence-based care in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness and substance use disorders within an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include individual, conjoint, group, and family psychotherapy, as well as crisis intervention services as needed. Ensures that the quality of care is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable.

Requirements

• Master's (or Doctoral) degree in counseling from a national or regionally-accredited institute of higher education, including an internship and coursework on human behavior and development, effective counseling strategies, ethical practice, and pertinent core knowledge areas.
• Completion of a minimum of 3,000 hours of post-master's degree supervised clinical experience performed within two years.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
