Qualifications

  • Masters in Psychology or related field required.
  • One to Three (1-3) years’ experience working with the DD population.
  • Must be computer literate, detail-oriented and have excellent verbal and written skills.

Skills

  • Provide psychological services in assigned IRA residence.
  • Assess consumer functioning using standardized instruments and informal methods.
  • Report assessment findings and recommendations to IDT.
  • Develop and monitor behavioral treatment plans and behavior guidelines.
  • Train staff on individual psychological profiles and needs.
  • Follow up on staff performance through direct observation.
  • Prepare consults for psychiatrist appointments, including team recommendations for medication.
  • Attend regularly scheduled team meetings and residential staff meetings.
  • Obtain and document informed consent for potential consumer rights restrictions.
  • Present individual cases to the HRC monthly and annually.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA practices.
  • Contribute to the smooth operation of the facility and agency reputation.
  • Maintain regular contact with relevant parties regarding psychiatric, behavioral, and human rights issues.
  • Perform all other duties as required.
