Qualifications
- Masters in Psychology or related field required.
- One to Three (1-3) years’ experience working with the DD population.
- Must be computer literate, detail-oriented and have excellent verbal and written skills.
Skills
- Provide psychological services in assigned IRA residence.
- Assess consumer functioning using standardized instruments and informal methods.
- Report assessment findings and recommendations to IDT.
- Develop and monitor behavioral treatment plans and behavior guidelines.
- Train staff on individual psychological profiles and needs.
- Follow up on staff performance through direct observation.
- Prepare consults for psychiatrist appointments, including team recommendations for medication.
- Attend regularly scheduled team meetings and residential staff meetings.
- Obtain and document informed consent for potential consumer rights restrictions.
- Present individual cases to the HRC monthly and annually.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA practices.
- Contribute to the smooth operation of the facility and agency reputation.
- Maintain regular contact with relevant parties regarding psychiatric, behavioral, and human rights issues.
- Perform all other duties as required.
