About the role

The Behavioral Healthcare Provider 1 oversees facility behavioral healthcare functions, focusing on habilitating youth within a juvenile correctional setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform psychosocial interventions with youth within scope of practice, including individual, family, or group counseling, testing, and education.
• Develop intervention goals and objectives to address and resolve clients' problems in functioning.
• Participate in establishing, implementing, and evaluating treatment system goals and objectives.
• Interview youth and their families to set case goals and objectives.
• Assess clients and determine specific intervention techniques, monitoring responses to treatment and providing feedback on effectiveness.
• Evaluate youth progress resulting from prescribed treatment plans.
• Maintain necessary documentation to satisfy federal, state, and local agency requirements, including social histories, admission/aftercare summaries, court documents, and other legally required forms.
• Serve on treatment and program development teams.
• Attend training meetings, intradepartmental meetings, and court hearings.
• Establish and maintain working relationships with other facilities, agencies, and support services to coordinate referrals and conduct follow-up services.

Requirements

• Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II (LCDC II) by the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board.
• OR Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) by the Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board.
• OR Licensed Social Worker (LSW) by the Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board.
• OR Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (MFT) by the Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board.

Pay

$27.48 per hour plus a 20% supplement.

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week.
