Behavioral Healthcare Provider 1 - 20% Supplement

About the role

The Behavioral Healthcare Provider 1 oversees facility behavioral healthcare functions at Circleville Juvenile Correctional Facility. The ideal candidate will provide behavioral health services, liaise with various stakeholders, and participate in interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provides behavioral health services including assessments, treatment planning, individual, group, and family interventions
• Liaises with family, regional offices, juvenile parole officers, release authorities, schools, courts, and community support services
• Completes discharges and aftercare planning
• Provides facility orientation to new youth and their guardians
• Represents Behavioral Healthcare Services on Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDT)
• Coordinates team meetings and ensures all necessary documentation is gathered and reported
• Maintains working relationships with external facilities, agencies, and support services
• Contacts parents/guardians in emergencies and meets with visitors to answer questions
• Accesses, develops, maintains, and synthesizes written and electronic documentation in compliance with DYS policies
• Attends departmental and inter-departmental meetings as assigned
• Attends court hearings as needed
• Maintains professional growth through participation in seminars, conferences, and workshops
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II (LCDC II) by Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) by Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board
• Licensed Social Worker (LSW) by Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board
• Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (MFT) by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board
• Licensed Registered Nurse with practice specialty certificate in Mental Health or Psychiatric Nursing as issued by Ohio Board of Nursing
• Licensed Registered Nurse by Ohio Board of Nursing plus completion of Masters degree in Psychology or other mental health related field
• Licensed Registered Nurse by Ohio Board of Nursing plus completion of Masters degree in Nursing with a Mental Health or Psychiatric Nursing concentration
