About the Role

The Behavioral Healthcare Provider 2 will oversee facility behavioral healthcare functions, providing leadership with a focus on habilitating youth. This role involves delivering social work services within the scope of licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide social work services, including assessments, treatment planning, individual/group/family interventions, crisis intervention, and liaison services (e.g., with family, regional office, juvenile parole officers, release authority, schools, courts, and community support services).
  • Handle discharge and aftercare planning for assigned caseload of youth offenders.
  • Represent social and/or habilitative programming on the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDT) as per policy.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with other facilities, agencies, and support services.
  • Contact parent/guardian in emergencies, crises, or transfers.
  • Develop, maintain, and synthesize written/electronic documentation to meet federal, state, and local agency requirements and DYS policy (e.g., progress notes, institutional and community reports).

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, professionalism, strong interpersonal communication skills, sound judgment, trauma-responsiveness, and a solution-driven approach.

  • Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) by the Ohio Chemical Dependency Counselor’s Credentialing Board.
  • Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) by the Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board.
  • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) by the Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board.
  • Licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapist (IMFT) by the Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse with a certificate of authority as a Clinical Nurse Specialist or Certified Nurse Practitioner with specialty certification in Mental Health or Psychiatry (issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing).

Benefits

Pay

$29.95 per hour + 20% supplement.

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week.

Work Location

Cuyahoga Juvenile Correctional Facility, Highland Hills, Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
