Location: Roseau
Shift: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, evenings as needed for coverage
Job Schedule: M-F Hours: 40/wk
FTE: 1.0
Pay Range: $19.25-$25.02

What You’ll Get To Do In This Role

  • Greets patients and visitors to the Behavioral Health Department with a courteous, respectful and professional manner.
  • Answers phone calls and coordinates activities of the Behavioral Health Department.
  • Registers patients with correct patient identity and accurate information within the electronic record system (Epic).
  • Verifies insurance coverage.
  • Schedules appointments and checks in appointments.
  • Obtains patient consent for treatment.
  • Scans consent forms and other documents as requested into Epic.
  • Completes missing account information through assigned work queues.
  • Enters charges into patient accounts on Epic.
  • Files and maintains Behavioral Health records.
  • Obtains preauthorization for services when needed.
  • Releases protected health information with guidance from Health Information staff.

Qualifications

Education in the medical field, medical office assistant certification, or medical terminology experience in patient access role preferred
Excellent customer service skills
Good attention to detail
Ability to work independently
Highly self-motivated
