100% FTE, hybrid position with a minimum of three days in person at 122 E Olin Ave, Madison, WI. Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM; possibility of a five-day work week if preferred.

About the role

Join UW Health’s Behavioral Health team to promote well-being, healing, and recovery. As a Behavioral Health Therapist specializing in Substance Use, you will deliver evidence-based treatments for substance use and mental health to adults and adolescents ages 13–25, including dual-diagnosis capability. Responsibilities include assessments, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, care coordination, and documentation. The role blends telehealth (work-from-home) and in-clinic care.

This position may be eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE).

Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based substance use and mental health treatments to adolescents and adults.
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver individual and group therapy.
  • Coordinate care and complete required clinical documentation.
  • Split time between telehealth and in-person clinic settings.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience providing evidence-based treatment for behavioral health diagnoses in children, adolescents, or adults (5 years preferred).
  • One of the following licenses upon hire: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Basic Life Support/CPR certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC) or Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) certification preferred.
