Behavioral Health Therapist

About the role

The Iowa Primary Care Association is actively recruiting a full-time Behavioral Health Therapist to provide care at a vibrant community health center (FQHC) and oversee patients in Des Moines, IA! Located within the organization's Wellness Center, this role will see a variety of patient populations from children to older adults. LISW, LMHC, & LMFT encourage to apply!

Schedule

Flexible schedule Monday‑Friday 8 am‑5 pm or 9 am‑6 pm, no weekends or on‑call. Full‑time position: 40 hours/week, seeing an average of 6 patients per day.

Pay

Competitive, negotiable salary based on experience; relocation assistance available.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited master’s program in social work, counseling, marriage/family therapy, or behavioral health
• Licensed as a behavioral health professional to practice independently in Iowa (LISW, LMFT, or LMHC)
• BLS, ACLS, or ATLS certification required
• 1‑2 years of behavioral health experience preferred
• Bilingual in English & Spanish a plus
