About the role
Provide social services in the vast field of public and medical health, children and families or persons experiencing any mental health and substance abuse challenges.
Responsibilities
- Counseling and helping patients confront issues that are negatively affecting their way of living such as poverty, abuse, mental health, addiction, etc.
- Interviews families, individuals and groups.
- Affirms the needs and develops appropriate response plans for patients.
- Refers patients to community services or any health care professional.
- Counsels and assists patients in accepting various situations, emphasizing events that can't be changed.
- Collects and assesses initial and ongoing data about the health status, cultural influences, and belief or value system of the patient and surrounding communities.
- Provides children, youth, and adult behavioral health therapy and counseling services.
- Primary job setting is outpatient therapy. Inpatient therapy services may be requested occasionally based on patient needs.
Requirements
- Masters or doctoral degree in a relevant field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy)
- Current Kansas BSRB licensure as one of the following: Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Master Level Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist
- Licensed Master Social Worker (clinical track) or Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker
- Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with Mental Health Training track (or equivalent experience)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist

Qualifications
- Masters or doctoral degree in a relevant field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy)

Pay
\$X per hour or \$Y per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
