Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Supervises Behavioral Health Technicians and provides feedback on their performance.
- Orients and Trains new staff to unit and program.
- Assists with Interviewing and Hiring BHT’s.
- Communicates with staff either verbally or in written communication logs.
- Assists with employee disciplinary actions.
- Develops employee schedule.
- Conducts employee performance evaluations.
- Assists with interventions with clients.
- Assists with confiscation of items.
- Listens to clients and BHT’s concerning all areas of the clients’ treatment.
- Coordicates activities including lectures, recreation and meetings with Lead BHT’s.
- Follows objectives of treatment plans.
- Maintains safe, orderly and therapeutic physical environment for clients including crisis intervention.
- Evaluates behavioral and emotional needs of clients and provides input.
- Attends trainings as necessary and schedules BHT’s to attend trainings.
- Attends facility meetings and coordinates BHT department meetings.
- Clerical duties as needed.
- Other duties as deemed necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Licensure, Education, & Experience:
- High diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous clinical experience preferred.
- Prefer behavioral health experience or general healthcare experience.
- Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Provide training and day-to-day guidance to the BHT team including, but not limited to, making daily rounds of the facility.

- Upholding staff code of ethics and therapeutic boundaries.
