Behavioral Health Technician

Summary of the Position
Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides intense individualized mental health interventions and support services in various community-based settings to children/adolescents with psychiatric diagnoses and their families. The BHT works under supervision, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, and implements treatment goals to help children/adolescents maintain and function in the least restrictive setting.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Must meet one of the following:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and completed 40+ hours of training
- Minimum of 2 years of experience of provision of behavioral health services
- Behavioral Health Certification or Behavior Analysis Certification from an accredited organization
- Certification as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with participants, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in using data collection tools and software applications
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office
- Experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system is a plus
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage
- Bilingual (Spanish) speaking is a plus
