About the Role

ShareHouse, Inc., a top residential and outpatient chemical dependency treatment center, is seeking dedicated part-time Behavioral Health Technicians for our Fargo campus. This position assists in maintaining a successful residential facility by encouraging and supporting residents in their recovery through monitoring, observing, and reporting to clinical staff and management. You will act as a liaison between residents and clinical staff, ensuring adherence to organizational rules and procedures.

Schedule

  • Part-time, working every weekend with potential weekday evening shifts.
  • Part-time, working every other weekend with potential weekday evening shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Greet, welcome, and assist clients, residents, vendors, and guests to provide a welcoming and professional image of the organization.
  • Monitor, dispense, and re-order client medications to ensure correct dosage, timely receipt, and availability.
  • Conduct room-to-room apartment checks and facility checks as required or scheduled; complete appropriate documentation to ensure safety and security.
  • Document information, observations, concerns, issues, and events in the appropriate venue to provide accurate information to staff and management.
  • Perform light maintenance and housekeeping duties to provide a clean and safe environment.
  • Perform breathalyzer and unobserved urine drug screens on clients as required; maintain appropriate documentation to ensure a drug- and alcohol-free living environment.
  • Monitor and track clients’ exits and entries into the facility to ensure knowledge of client location and activities.
  • Monitor medication distribution to residents according to established protocol to ensure exact dosage.
  • Transport clients to appointments and meetings to attend community recovery groups.
  • Answer phones, greet the public, and route inquiries to appropriate personnel while providing positive public relations.
  • Understand and abide by all confidentiality laws to protect clients and client information.
  • Provide reliable and prompt attendance, including working afternoon, overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and call-ins as dictated by business necessity.
  • Conduct fire drills across all shifts to ensure smooth and efficient evacuation procedures; complete and submit drill forms to the Safety Officer or HR.
  • Search client property at admission and throughout their stay in services.
  • Review facility cameras for safety.
  • Clean and disinfect client rooms as they discharge.
  • Refer maintenance and repair issues to the maintenance department.
  • Cover the front office assistant’s phone as needed.
  • Assist in client orientation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Six months of experience in a related field or position (preferred).
  • CPR, First Aid, and CMA 1 certification required within 60 days of employment; must stay up to date at renewal periods.
  • Must be medication certified according to ShareHouse and North Dakota Board of Health standards.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record may be required according to company insurance standards.
