About the role
This entry level position allows you to work in the social-services field, specifically in behavioral health, where you can help individuals dealing with addiction.
Responsibilities
- Transport clients to and from appointments, intake pickups, discharge drop-offs, etc.
- Be available to clients for questions and other assistance.
- Be highly dependable and able to work independently, with the ability to work with little direction.
- Complete and assist counselors with intake/admission procedures, orientation of new clients and co-workers.
- Encourage clients to achieve their goals by acting as a positive role model.
- Participate in client recreational activities.
- Serve as a resource for clients through knowledge of services and opportunities in the community.
- Administer client medications and documents accordingly.
- Support staff and director in making decisions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Free of chemical use problems for at least one year immediately preceding hire date and sign a statement attesting to that fact.
- Must be eighteen years old.
- Must have a valid MN driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
- Physical ability to perform the responsibilities of the position, including bending, stooping, sitting, walking, and lifting at least 30 pounds.
- Have, or be willing to obtain once employed, CPR and First Aid trainings.
