Employment Type: Temporary Location: Wexford, PA 2605 Nicholson Road, Suite 3240, Bldg. 3 | Sewickley, PA Casual BHT Job Responsibilities Implement treatment plan objectives by working directly with children who have autism and related disorders in the IBHS programProvide direct one-on-one therapeutic interventions under the supervision of a Behavior ConsultantWork with families to assist them in acquiring skills and enabling them to maximize their child’s progress and independenceCommunicate regularly with families regarding their child’s progress and issuesProvide services in the child’s home and/or community-based settingsSupervise the child and maintain safety of the child while working in community-based settingsAssist children in developing social skills and facilitate development of peer interactionsAttend regular required supervision meetings, individual supervisory sessions, and required trainingsAssist in implementing behavior management plans to enable the child’s participation in community-based settingsImplement ABA intervention techniquesMaintain therapeutic records and data necessary to monitor progressComplete daily progress notesTurn in progress notes and paperwork into the office on time per department policyOther duties as requested Casual BHT Job Requirements One of the following educational/experience qualifications is required:Have a certification as a BCaBAHave a certification as an RBTHave a certification as an BCATHave a behavioral health certification or behavior analysis certification from an organization that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards InstituteHave a high school diploma or the equivalent of a high school diploma and have completed a 40-hour training covering the RBT Task List as evidenced by a certification that includes the name of the responsible trainer, who is certified as a BCBA or BCaBAHave a minimum of 2 years of experience in the provision of behavioral health servicesAbility to complete necessary training successfullyThe ability to keep up with running children and/or to lift, position, or assist with lifting students is essential to perform this taskThe essential functions of this job described herein require the ability to exert moderate physical effort in light work, typically involving some combination of bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, kneeling, crouching and brisk walking, which may involve lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling objects and material of moderate weight (40 pounds)Current Acts 34, 114, and 151 clearances requiredAvailability to work a flexible work schedule, which may include evening and weekend hours Apply Now!
