Centerpoint Health - Paris, formerly Bourbon Community Hospital, is a 58-bed acute care facility in the heart of the Bluegrass. The medical staff consists of 140 physicians covering 22 specialties. Centerpoint Health - Paris also offers services in Behavioral Health consisting of a 33-bed inpatient facility.

How You'll Contribute

A Behavioral Health Technician who excels in this role assists in assuring optimal patient care under the supervision of an RN. Key responsibilities include:

  • Observe patients closely, document behaviors, and ensure a safe, secure environment.
  • Assist patients with hygiene, meals, routines, and basic care needs.
  • Follow care plans developed by clinicians, including leading or supporting therapeutic activities.
  • De-escalate situations and respond appropriately to behavioral or emotional crises.
  • Record patient progress and communicate updates to nurses, therapists, and the care team.

Requirements

Applicants should have a High School Diploma (or equivalent). Additional requirements include:

  • Nursing Assistant Certificate (SRNA/CNA) preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Handle with Care certification required within 7 days of hire.

Schedule

This is a PRN position with 12-hour shifts.
