Behavioral Health Technician

Summary of the Position
Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides intense individualized mental health interventions and support services in various community-based settings to children/adolescents with psychiatric diagnoses and their families. The BHT works under supervision, participates in interdisciplinary teams, and implements specific treatment goals to help children/adolescents maintain and function in the least restrictive setting.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Must meet one of the following:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and completed 40+ hours of training
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health services
- Behavioral Health Certification or Behavior Analysis Certification from an accredited organization
- Certification as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge; experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus
- Bilingual/Spanish speaking is a plus but not required
- Travel required; reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage are required
