Summary of the Position
Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides intense individualized mental health interventions and support services in various community-based settings to children/adolescents with psychiatric diagnoses and their families. Locations in Mercer, Grove City, Greenville areas. Settings include home, school, community settings (camp, daycare, etc.). The BHT is supervised by a Qualified Mental Health Professional, participates in an interdisciplinary treatment team, and implements specific treatment goals. Their goal is to implement sound clinical interventions and supportive services to enable children/adolescents to maintain and function to the best of their ability in the least restrictive setting.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Must meet one of the following:
- A High School Diploma or Equivalent and ability to complete 40+ hours of training
- A minimum of 2 years of experience of provision of behavioral health services
- A Behavioral Health Certification or Behavior Analysis Certification from an accredited organization
- A Certification as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT)
- Previous experience working with youth/adolescence is required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer skills; proficient in Microsoft 365; experience using an electronic health record system (EHR) is a plus
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage is required
- Bilingual (Spanish speaking) is a plus
