Essential & Core Functions
- Facilitate implementation of the ITP
- Support problem-solving skill development
- Provide instruction on understanding, directing, interpreting, managing, and controlling feelings and emotional responses
- Aid adults in addressing the therapeutic needs of the consumer
- Offer psychoeducational services related to mental health
- Teach stress reduction techniques
- Collect and analyze data on consumer behavior
- Provide behavioral stabilization and interventions
- Offer feedback and behavioral data for goal revision
- Ensure timely and proper service delivery
- Collaborate with school personnel, families, and outside agencies
- Perform services in various settings (schools, homes, communities)
- Make recommendations for discharge
- Meet service productivity expectations
- Complete paperwork within specified time frames
- Maintain an understanding of agency policies and procedures
- Participate in supervision according to regulatory standards
- Adhere to WES’s Code of Ethics and comply with State Mental Health Code
- Attend and participate in required trainings
- Engage in continuous quality assurance/program development
- Comply with WES standards for service delivery
- Maintain consumer confidentiality
Additional Responsibilities
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- By January 1, 2021, meet one of the following prerequisites:
- BCaBA certification
- RBT certification
- BCAT certification
- Behavioral health certification or behavior analysis certification from an NCQA-accredited organization
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a 40-hour training covering the RBT Task List, with certification including the name of the responsible trainer, who is certified as a BCBA or BCaBA
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health services
