About the role

The Behavioral Health Technician I position at OCD Anxiety Centers requires evening hours, specifically Monday to Friday from 11:00 am - 8:00 pm. This role is part of a passionate team dedicated to helping individuals and families affected by anxiety disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Engages clients through clinical interactions, assisting with skill development and interventions.
  • Maintains high standards of care, providing a supportive environment for clients.
  • Facilitates and supports groups within the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
  • Maintains a professional and safe environment for clients, including managing daily activities and treatment plans.
  • Manages business resources to enhance client and organizational benefits.
  • Develops and implements lesson plans for group settings.
  • Maintains accurate and organized documentation, including progress notes and group therapy notes.
  • Practices de-escalation techniques and crisis management.
  • Encourages teamwork and collaboration among colleagues.
  • Continuously improves skills through supervision and oversight.
  • Promotes client satisfaction by embodying and adhering to OCD Anxiety Centers' values.
  • Works within the organization's policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a professional and safe work environment.

Qualifications

  • Some college education or relevant experience.
  • Ability to think critically and work collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in computers, including Google Docs, Sheets, and other software.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and solve problems effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience with OCD, anxiety, and trauma preferred.

Skills

  • Understanding of client-level systems and disorder modules.
  • Knowledge of the EMR system and its functionalities.
  • Understanding of youth clients' core concepts and safety measures.
  • Ability to implement and document behavioral contingency plans.
  • Experience facilitating Exposure Groups, DBT Groups, and Specialty Skills Groups.
  • Understanding of systematic issues and crisis response plans.
  • Proper techniques for de-escalation, crisis intervention, and behavior management.
  • Knowledge of controlled use key holder responsibilities and red cart management.
  • Understanding of using Kindles during group facilitation and managing inventory.
  • Understanding of IOP policies and attendance policies.
  • Ability to conduct exposures through telehealth.
  • Ability to access and write in client notes.
  • Ability to promptly report behavioral, safety, or attendance issues.
  • Ability to use coping scripts and run exposures in the community.
  • Ability to access and complete weekly surveys.
  • Ability to store, audit, and dispose of food exposure items correctly.
