Behavioral Health Technician
Requirements
- Required: High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years' experience providing behavioral health services (preferred)
- Completed 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training course
- Completed college coursework in mental health, child development, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one interventions to a child or adolescent in the school setting
- Implement a behavior modification treatment plan targeting the recommendations from the psychological evaluation
- Utilize prescribed interventions as needed when the child exhibits problematic behaviors
- Model intervention techniques for members of the treatment team
- Collaborate with all members of the treatment team and professionals working in the home or other community settings
- Document behavioral and program data during sessions
- Maintain progress notes for every billable contact
- Submit payroll weekly or as directed by supervisor
- Attend training as required
