Behavioral Health Technician
About the Role
As a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) at Woodland Springs, part of Lifepoint Health, you will play a vital role in making communities healthier. You will conduct functional analyses of patient behavior, participate as a member of the treatment team, contribute to the Master Treatment Plan, and implement appropriate interventions. Your responsibilities will include conducting individual and group psycho-education, leisure activities, and life-skill training and coaching for all patients, as well as safety monitoring of patients and the unit.
Responsibilities
- Conduct functional analyses of patient behavior.
- Participate as a member of the treatment team.
- Contribute to the Master Treatment Plan and implement appropriate interventions.
- Conduct individual and group psycho-education, leisure activities, and life-skill training.
- Monitor the safety of patients and the unit.
Requirements
- High school degree preferred.
- Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients preferred.
- CPR certification and Handle With Care certification within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
