Available Shifts
- 1st Shift: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm (+$2.00/hour differential)
- 3rd Shift: 11:00 pm – 7:00 am
Position Summary
The Behavioral Health Technician serves as a frontline mentor and support system for youth in a residential treatment setting. This role combines direct supervision, behavioral support, and participation in therapeutic programming to promote stability, safety, and progress toward treatment goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety, supervision, and well-being of residents
- Provide structure and implement appropriate behavioral interventions
- Document interactions and progress using EMR and daily logs
- Co-facilitate therapy and psychoeducational groups
- Support residents in achieving individualized treatment goals
- Engage youth in structured activities and one-on-one mentoring
- Communicate observations and concerns to clinical leadership
- Auxiliary support to clinical and case management teams as needed
- Transport residents to appointments when required
- Administer medications if properly trained
- Participate in required training and professional development
Qualifications
- Required: High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in behavioral health, social services, residential treatment, or a related field
- Strong communication, documentation, and crisis management skills
- Valid transportation
