Diversified Treatment Alternative Centers (DTAC) is actively seeking reliable and compassionate Behavioral Health Technicians to join our team in Ohio. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting adolescents in a structured, therapeutic residential environment. We are hiring for all shifts, with immediate openings for 2nd shift candidates.

Available Shifts

  • 1st Shift: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm (+$2.00/hour differential)
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 pm – 7:00 am

Position Summary

The Behavioral Health Technician serves as a frontline mentor and support system for youth in a residential treatment setting. This role combines direct supervision, behavioral support, and participation in therapeutic programming to promote stability, safety, and progress toward treatment goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety, supervision, and well-being of residents
  • Provide structure and implement appropriate behavioral interventions
  • Document interactions and progress using EMR and daily logs
  • Co-facilitate therapy and psychoeducational groups
  • Support residents in achieving individualized treatment goals
  • Engage youth in structured activities and one-on-one mentoring
  • Communicate observations and concerns to clinical leadership
  • Auxiliary support to clinical and case management teams as needed
  • Transport residents to appointments when required
  • Administer medications if properly trained
  • Participate in required training and professional development

Qualifications

  • Required: High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in behavioral health, social services, residential treatment, or a related field
  • Strong communication, documentation, and crisis management skills
  • Valid transportation

Work Location

This is an in-person position based in Columbus, OH (43207). Candidates must be able to reliably commute.
