About the role
The Starting Point program offers support to individuals in the unique model of Psych Rehab, serving those with a mental health diagnosis, to reach their own, personally identified goals. Individuals in the program need extra help to get back on their feet, find a place to live, and become a part of community life. Behavior health support staff meet with individuals in their own spaces to help them on their recovery journey.
Responsibilities
- Build rapport and effectively engage with individuals about their life goals and barriers to recovery
- Drive to and meet with individuals in homes and community locations
- Collaborate with the individual being served and the Starting Point team to develop, implement, update and review treatment plans that are recovery-oriented, strengths-based, and person-centered
- Collaborate with the individual being served to develop successful strategies for identifying, achieving, and maintaining goals in four key areas: living, learning, working, and socializing
- Maintain accurate and current case documentation in an electronic health record
- Support individuals to find and use resources and supports in their community
Requirements
- Educational/Certification: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a related field such as psychology, social work, or human services OR Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) certification required OR CPRP (Certified Psych Rehab Practitioner) certification required
- Additional Qualifications: Some prior work or internship experience related to mental health services (preferred)
- Driver's License: Valid US driver's license for at least two years, not including time with permit
- Vehicle: Reliable vehicle, valid registration and inspection stickers, valid auto insurance

- Willingness to drive throughout the county during the workday to meet with clients
- Willingness to transport clients in your vehicle as needed

- Pay: Starting at $20.00 per hour, with rates negotiated by education and related work experience

Pay
Starting at $20.00 per hour, with rates negotiated by education and related work experience.
Schedule
Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 9am-5pm or 8am-4pm, with flexibility on evenings required based on the needs of individuals served. On call shifts are required.
