Renewal Falls Recovery Center, in partnership with Ascension Recovery Services (ARS), is opening a premier behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment facility in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision, coaching, and leadership to Behavioral Health Technicians, Recovery Support Specialists, and related support staff.
- Conduct regular supervision meetings, performance coaching, and annual evaluations.
- Aid with recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and training of Recovery Support staff.
- Develop schedules and staffing plans that ensure safe and effective program coverage.
- Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and patient-centered care.
- Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic treatment environment.
- Support patient orientation and integration into the program.
- Facilitate educational, recovery-focused, and psychoeducational groups as assigned.
- Monitor patient participation, engagement, and adherence to program expectations.
- Assist with crisis intervention, de-escalation, and behavioral management.
- Support recreational, wellness, and recovery-oriented activities.
- Administer and document urine drug screens in accordance with policy.
- Obtain and document vital signs, weights, and other approved observations.
- Provide transportation support when necessary and approved.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation of incidents, observations, patient interactions, and shift activities.
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards, state regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies.
- Participate in leadership meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Behavioral Health, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, residential treatment, or healthcare.
- Minimum of one (1) year of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Preferred: Experience in residential substance use disorder treatment, experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, knowledge of ASAM criteria and recovery-oriented systems of care, experience supporting Joint Commission accreditation and regulatory compliance activities, Peer Recovery Specialist certification or behavioral health credentials.
