About the role
This position, held by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Staff Psychologist, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, provides direct care and clinical supervision of clinical staff ensuring high quality evidence-based care, adherence to best practices, and compliance with regulatory standards in adolescent mental health intensive treatment.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy services to teens and families enrolled in IOP or PHP.
- Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and empirically supported treatments for adolescents and families/caregivers.
- Apply concepts in an intensive care setting, managing psychiatric service operations.
- Manage case management, utilization review, and discharge planning processes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Supervise clinical staff, providing feedback and support to enhance their professional development.
- Contribute to the management and improvement of clinical programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, advocates, and other health care personnel, as well as subordinate staff.
- Utilize computer proficiency in all relevant information systems, applications, and analysis tools, particularly in Epic electronic health record system and data management.
Requirements
- Doctorate or Masters’ degree in social work, psychology, or related field from an accredited university.
- Licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a LCSW, MFT, or LPCC or California Board of Psychology as a Psychologist.
- Five years of related work experience including three in a lead/supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
- Proficient in evidence-based practices and empirically supported treatments for adolescents and families/caregivers.
- Knowledge of psychiatric service operations and ability to apply concepts in an intensive care setting.
- Demonstrated experience in behavioral health program management skills, with progressive expertise in the supervision of clinical staff and/or management of clinical programs.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills for dealing with patients, families, advocates, and other health care personnel, as well as subordinate staff.
- Computer proficiency in all relevant information systems, applications, and analysis tools.
Qualifications
- Fluent in oral and written Spanish (preferred).
- Proficient in Epic electronic health record system and data management (preferred).
- Experience with Medi-Cal and CalAIM changes (preferred).
- Bilingual Certification- Spanish (preferred).
- Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Certified Therapist (preferred).
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-Linehan Board Certification (preferred).
- Modular Approach to Therapy for Children with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, or Conduct Problems (MATCH-ADTC) certified (preferred).
