Responsibilities

  • Ensures quality patient care
  • Maintains patient hygiene
  • Aids in patient mobility
  • Serves as a liaison between patients and nurses
  • Documents patient care accurately and promptly
  • Completes patient rounding and safety companion services
  • Collects and completes patient screenings
  • Participates in ongoing education and training

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Bachelor’s Degree, related field preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Health Association preferred
  • State Tested Nursing Aide (STNA) or Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) preferred
  • Certified Social Work Assistant (SWA), Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA), or Counselor in Training (preferred)
  • Human Services-Board Certified Practitioner (HS-BCP) or American Association of Psychiatric Technicians (AAPT) preferred

Qualifications

  • One year of experience in a mental health or healthcare setting preferred

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
