About the role

Rite of Passage Team is hiring a Behavioral Health Specialist at Southern California Treatment Program in Costa Mesa, CA.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health rehabilitation and support services to residents to ensure stability and successful transition back to the community.
• Conduct treatment/skill building groups, individual rehab (skill building) services, support with educational/vocational and supplemental mental health linkage and referrals.
• Develop and supervise each resident’s individual treatment plan, including day-to-day monitoring, and coordinate services with social workers, probation officers, medical/mental health providers, and other institutions.

Requirements

• Demonstrate empathy, patience, and respect, along with a genuine desire to work with troubled teens.
• Successfully pass a criminal background check, drug screening, physical exam, and TB test.
• Hold a current State Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record for the past three years.
• Retain one of the following combinations: An Associate’s degree with six years of related experience, a Bachelor’s degree with four years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with two years of related experience.
• Relevant experience includes working with youth in a mental health setting as a specialist in the fields of physical restoration, social adjustment, or vocational adjustment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible hours, including two late days from 10:00 am - 7:00 pm.

Pay

Rate starting at $25.00 per hour.

Schedule

Monday – Friday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm (two late days 10:00 am - 7:00 pm)
