Behavioral Health Specialist

Job Summary

Rite of Passage Team is hiring a Behavioral Health Specialist at San Pasqual Academy STRTP in Escondido, CA. The position offers a competitive salary of $27.00 per hour with a $1000.00 sign-on bonus for full-time clinical positions paid out at 3 and 6 months. Additional benefits include medical insurance eligibility after 60 days of full-time employment, a 403b match of up to 6% after 1 year of employment, and paid time off that can be used as soon as it accrues.

About the Role

San Pasqual Academy is a private high school located on a 238-acre campus with all the amenities of a private high school, including classrooms, an auditorium, gym, and cafeteria. The campus features residential staff and house parents who mentor and tutor students, teach independent living skills, and facilitate various sports and recreational activities. The Behavioral Health Specialist will provide mental health rehabilitation and support services to residents to ensure their stability and successful transition back to the community. They will also participate in developing and monitoring each resident's individual treatment plan and coordinate services with other professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health rehabilitation and support services to residents
• Develop and monitor each resident’s individual treatment plan
• Coordinate services with social workers, probation officers, medical/mental health providers, and other institutions

Requirements

• Demonstrate empathy, patience, and respect
• Successfully pass a criminal background check, drug screening, physical exam, and TB test
• Hold a current State Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record for the past three years

Qualifications

• An Associate’s degree with six years of related experience
• A Bachelor’s degree with four years of related experience
• A Master’s degree with two years of related experience

Skills

Candidates should have relevant experience working with youth in a mental health setting as a specialist in the fields of physical restoration, social adjustment, or vocational adjustment.

Benefits

Eligible for medical insurance on the first of the month following 60 days of full-time employment. Eligible for the rest of the Rite of Passage Benefits Package immediately after 90 days of full-time employment.

Tuesday-Saturday 11am-8pm
