About the role
Greater Seacoast Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Specialist to join the founding clinical team at their brand-new Wakefield Primary Care practice.
Help launch a brand-new integrated primary care practice and play an essential role in establishing behavioral health services for the Wakefield community.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments.
- Provide evidence-based individual and group counseling.
- Deliver crisis intervention and immediate behavioral health support.
- Collaborate with primary care providers to develop integrated treatment plans.
- Support patients experiencing mental health and substance use challenges.
- Care for patients experiencing mental health and substance use challenges.
- Coordinate referrals and ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or another behavioral health-related field. Current New Hampshire licensure as an LICSW, LCMHC, MLADC, or equivalent behavioral health license, OR be fully eligible to obtain New Hampshire licensure within ninety (90) days of hire. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience providing outpatient behavioral health services, treating individuals with mental health and substance use disorders, community Health or Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) experience, and integrated primary care experience.
