About the role
We are hiring for a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse Night Shift position at RHA Health Services. This role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
Responsibilities
- Provides oversight and general nursing care and services to persons with behavioral health challenges in the community.
- Utilizes skills and expertise to assess and monitor clients, participate in behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment, and respond to crises.
- Participates in Person Centered Plan (PCP) meetings and develops plans as requested.
- Maintains accurate inventory and controlled logs, follows guidelines for investigating discrepancies, and monitors consumers for side effects and adverse reactions to medications.
- Assists team members with assessing learning needs and carrying out teaching as indicated.
- Completes Quality Assurance (QA) activities and participates in the QA process.
- Serves as a supervisor, interviewing, recommending hiring, training employees, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, motivating, disciplining, and promoting team performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Ensures the license of other nursing staff is in good standing as appropriate.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of an Associates Degree in Nursing. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
- One year of nursing experience, with experience in behavioral health nursing preferred.
- Valid drivers license and personal vehicle insurance coverage.
- Demonstrated proficiency in CPR from floor level.
Qualifications
- Unencumbered Registered Nursing License.
- Some college training and/or management experience helpful.
Skills
- Positive and personable personality.
- Ability to provide quality services to people with intellectual, developmental disabilities, and those facing mental health and substance use challenges.
- Experience in behavioral health nursing is preferred.

Pay
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
7:45pm - 8:00am shifts, with shift differentials for weekday nights, weekend days, and weekend nights.
