About the role
The Behavioral health RN provides physical, emotional, and psychological support to patients with various mental health concerns and assists other nursing staff in coordinating care for this population. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to identify patient needs and develop a plan to meet those needs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to identify patient needs and develop a plan to meet those needs.
- Provides physical, emotional, and psychological support to patients with various mental health concerns.
- Assists other nursing staff in coordinating care for the behavioral health population.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 years of providing care to behavioral health patients.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and families to facilitate a therapeutic relationship.
- Excellent communication and customer services skills required.
- Successful completion of orientation and annual competencies.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, positive and good organizational skills, and adaptability, creating a favorable image in relationship to the Nursing department and the hospital as a whole.
- Must develop and maintain positive relationships across all areas of responsibility.
- Visibly demonstrates commitment to customer relations and all basic concepts of continuous quality improvement and preventing error from reaching the patient.
- Provides timely, positive responses to the needs of all customers including patients, families, co-workers, and physicians.
Qualifications/Training/Experience
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing for registered nurse.
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing is preferred.
- Current Massachusetts state RN license.
- Documentation of ongoing clinical competencies and continuing education.
- Current BLS certification.
Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary range of $35.88-$55.56 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set, and education. This is not inclusive of the value Sturdy Health's benefits package (if applicable), which includes among other benefits, healthcare/dental/vision and retirement.
