Qualifications
- Possess a Master’s degree or higher from an accredited program in medicine, nursing, or a related behavioral health field
- Hold a current, unrestricted license in the State of Oklahoma as a Physician (MD/DO), Physician Assistant, or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Maintain prescriptive authority in accordance with Oklahoma state regulations
- Provide behavioral health services across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations
- Knowledge of crisis assessment and intervention techniques
- Skilled in conducting clinical assessments, formulating accurate diagnoses utilizing DSM and ICD-10 criteria, and developing and implementing evidence-based treatment plans
- Working knowledge of CPT coding
- Proficiency in electronic documentation systems and computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel
Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral health assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and risk assessments for suicide, homicide, and other safety concerns
- Formulate accurate diagnoses using DSM and ICD-10 criteria and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Provide psychotherapy services and other clinically appropriate interventions to individuals, families, and groups within their scope of practice
- Prescribe, monitor, and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with scope of practice and state guidelines
- Monitor patient progress, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and modify care plans as clinically indicated
- Collaborate with primary care providers, behavioral health staff, case managers, and community partners to ensure coordinated, integrated care
- Provide crisis intervention services and appropriate referrals for higher levels of care when necessary
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medication management, and coping strategies
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with federal, state, tribal, and ethical standards
- Identify barriers to recovery and assist patients in accessing supportive services, including community resources, support groups, inpatient treatment facilities, and vocational services
- Remain current with developments in behavioral health practices, regulations, and evidence-based treatment standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors within their scope of practice
