Job Description
University Health Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Group Home Manager to lead our team in providing exceptional care to adults with severe and persistent mental illness. Located in the heart of Kansas City, Tracy House is an 11-bed, unlocked IRTS (Intensive Residential Treatment Services) group home that serves clients. Our goal is to stabilize symptoms, build life skills, and help clients transition back into the community with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of Mental Health Techs working across day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.
- Implement Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy (CT-R), a transformative Evidenced-Base Practice that we'll provide you with specialized training for.
- Oversee clinical needs and treatment planning for clients.
- Foster a compassionate and inclusive atmosphere that promotes client well-being and growth, while ensuring that all staff feel valued and empowered in their roles.
- Work collaboratively with other residential managers and rotate on-call duties to ensure consistent support for our team.

Minimum Requirements
- Master’s or doctorate degree from an accredited program in social work, psychology, counseling, or any other related human services field approved by the State of Missouri.
- Must be a Qualified Mental Health Provider (i.e. Social Worker, Licensed Counselor, OT, etc.).
- Two years’ experience; one of which was working with the behavioral health population.
- Must be licensed or licensable in the State of Missouri.
- Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and a willingness to work with multicultural staff and clientele.
- Staff with a master’s degree in social work are required to have a minimum licensure of MO LMSW. (If LMSW hasn't been obtained, still apply as there may be a pathway forward.)
- Staff must meet the requirements specified in the Fleet Driving Safety and Compliance Policy and must continue to meet these requirements as a condition of employment.
- Completion of training as directed through orientation and/or by Leadership, Management or Educators in the established timeline for continued employment.
