VitalCore Health Strategies (VCHS), an industry leader in Correctional Health Care, has an opening for a Full-Time Master's Level Behavioral Health Professional at Outagamie County Jail in Appleton, Wisconsin. PRN shifts available.

About the role

You will utilize your training, skills, and experience in a face-to-face setting with individuals from a variety of socioeconomic and educational backgrounds, making a direct impact during their most challenging times. This role involves working as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team including Medical, Psychiatry, Ancillary, Security, Legal, community providers, and psychiatric hospitals in real-time settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis stabilization, complete intakes, and ongoing evaluations.
• Conduct group therapy, one-on-one therapy, and crisis therapy.
• Participate in monthly behavioral health calls and collaborate with the medical team to determine overall treatment plans.
• Perform risk assessments of inmates and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, including medical staff, community providers, psychiatric hospitals, and corrections.
• Assist in discharge planning and the planning/implementation of program goals and objectives.
• Prepare necessary documentation, records, and reports.
• Utilize clinical skills such as prioritizing treatment needs, crisis management, and brief clinical interventions including CBT and Motivational Interviewing.
• Make independent clinical decisions while utilizing supervisory assistance as needed.

Requirements

• Licensed Master’s Level Behavioral Health Clinician (LSW, LPC, LCSW, LCPC, LMSW, or equivalent).
• Graduation from a Master’s level program.
• Minimum of one year of employment in a social work capacity in a public or private agency or equivalent.
• Satisfactory background investigation report.
