Core Responsibilities

  • Provide support to clients & their families in-home and community-based settings
  • Support clients with emotional and behavioral barriers that affect their daily living
  • Implement therapeutic goals/objectives/interventions from an individualized treatment plan
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation

Qualifications

  • BHP Level 1: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of three years' experience working with children in a behavioral health children's services program with the provider required to have a specific plan for supervision and training documented in the employee's personnel file.
  • BHP Level 1: Requires a minimum of 60 higher education credit hours in a related field of social services, human services, health or education; with the provider required to have a specific plan for supervision and training documented in the employee's personnel file.
  • BHP Level 1: Requires a minimum of 90 higher education credit hours in an unrelated field with the provider required to have a specific plan for supervision and training documented in the employee's personnel file.
  • BHP Level 2: Bachelor's degree in social services, Human Services, Health Education OR bachelor's degree in an unrelated field.
  • Staff who have been grandfathered by virtue of providing child and family community support services under the former Section 65G or Behavioral Specialist I services under the former 65H do not need to meet the bachelor's degree requirements listed above.
