Behavioral Health Technician
Job Description
CBH is looking for a passionate individual to join our BHT department at our PHP Location in Fort Lauderdale.
- Provide care and close supervision of facility patients and document behavior
- Develop positive relationships with patients and co-workers
- Follow facility policies and procedures, implement treatment plans, and provide crisis intervention as necessary
- Actively participate as part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, and interaction
- Act as a role model in using appropriate counseling skills by de-escalating aggression, using active listening skills, using appropriate tone and volume of voice, providing a high frequency and variety of positive reinforcements, maintaining appropriate boundaries, and promoting a positive peer culture
- Primary liaison between the clinical team and the patients of CBH
- Work closely with the department head to meet department goals

Requirements
- Candidate must have a clear and valid Drivers License
- Experience with the Mental Health Population is a plus
