Essential Job Responsibilities
- Work directly with the Psychiatry Department within a multi-disciplinary team approach to provide therapeutic interventions for patients and families.
- Provide therapeutic interventions related to depression, anxiety, trauma, acceptance, and adjusting to significant life changes for individuals ranging from children, older teens, adults, and the elderly.
- Assess, psycho-diagnose, develop and implement treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions under the supervision of licensed professionals.
- Participate in group and family therapy sessions as needed.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a master’s degree program in Social Work (MSW), Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC), or Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT).
- Previous experience in a mental health setting (internships, volunteer work, etc.) is preferred.
- Commitment to learning and professional development.
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to meet client needs.
- Adherence to clinic policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping.
- Knowledge of various therapeutic approaches and techniques.
